Overview |
The Omnify Server Monitor is a Windows Service application that leverages open-source Web Services for performing system audits.
Since the application uses open-source Web Services, you can customize the Web Services to have the system perform any system and database maintenance tasks you require.
Some example services such as: download directory cleanup and automated email alerts for tasks are provided with the default Web Services.
The Server Monitor can manage 5 separate process threads. Each process thread has a separate execution/audit process frequency and calls a different Web Service.
The following diagram outlines the Server Monitor audit process.
Each Process thread’s audit cycle/frequency is defined in a configuration file (OmnifyServerMonitor.exe.config) file. The Omnify Server Monitor loads these settings when the service is started.
