You can launch the Omnify Data Importer from the Omnify Server Home Page.

When the Omnify Server is installed, the user will select a virtual directory where all Omnify Web Applications and Services will be installed.

Once the Server installation is complete, you can visit the Omnify Server Home Page using any Web browser with the URL: http://[Server Name]/[Omnify Virtual Directory] (e.g. http://omnifyserver/Omnify5).

To access the Omnify Data Importer, click the Omnify Data Importer link in the Omnify Applications section of the Home Page.

Note:
After installing the Omnify Server, the Web Applications and Services must be configured for the correct server and database. Refer to the Server Installation and Setup Guide for more information on installing and configuring the Omnify Web Applications and Services.

When accessing the Omnify Data Importer, users will be required to login with a valid Omnify user name/password.

The Omnify Data Importer requires access permission for users (defined in the Omnify Administrator). Access permission provides only basic functionality (updating data on existing items). Licensing options can be provided by Omnify to enable additional functionality such as creating new objects and BOMs, uploading documents, etc.

Once you have logged in to the Omnify Data Importer, the system will display any license and functionality limitations.

When Omnify provides additional licensing options, you will receive a license file as well as an Importer upgrade password. License files can be loaded using the Omnify License Monitor.

You can provide your upgrade password in the Import Mode area. Clicking the Upgrade Credentials button will check the password and upgrade the features enabled by the license file.
