Overview
OmniBOM supports exporting of BOM files in the following formats:
  • ASCII/Text Files - Delimited text files
  • Microsoft Excel Files - Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
  • Comma-Separated Values (.csv) Files - Fields delimited with commas.
  • Omnify XML (.oxf) - Omnify universal XML file format
  • OmniBOM (.obx) - OmniBOM native file

Note: You can export/upload the BOM directly to the Omnify Database using the Upload to Omnify command from the File menu.



Refer to the Database Topics section for more information on uploading to Omnify.
Exporting/Saving Top
To export and/or save a BOM, select the Save As command from the File menu or toolbar.


From the Save As dialog box, you will select the file format and location.



If you select the ASCII BOM File format, you will be asked to specify the field delimiting character and field qualifier.
