This section describes some of the Change/ECO data/form enhancements made to Omnify Desktop for Empower 5.0.

You can create custom fields that will appear on the General page of the Change/ECO form.
|
|
|
You can now modify Vendor Items on Changes/ECOs.
|
|
|
Item data fields (such as attributes, status, type, etc.) can be displayed in the Affected Items list of a Change/ECO.
|
|
|
An indicator icon will be displayed for pending items on the Affected Items list of a Change/ECO.
|
|
|
The Changes/Redlines page of the Change/ECO contains an improved summary table and tree view for easier navigation.
The Summary table provides hyperlinks to quickly access specific Redline/editing pages.
The Navigation tree also provides quick access to specific Redline/editing pages.

The Affected Items reports have been expanded to include the following:
| BOM Redline/Results |
Allows you to view the current BOM, proposed changes, and the resulting BOM (if changes were to be applied) |
| BOM Item Status Check |
Performs a Status Weight check for all child items to the parent BOM item status. |
| BOM Item Field Check |
Allows you to check for the existence and values of any field on the child items of a BOM |
You can access these reports from the Affected Item toolbar or the Omnify Reporter.

The Document Packager can now package documents from BOM and Child items as well as document changed under Change/ECO.
The Document Packager includes a "Zip" utility and no longer requires WinZip.
