This section describes some of the enhancements made to OmniBOM for Empower 5.0.

Search/Browser has been included for finding the desired Omnify BOM.
|
|
|
All Omnify database operations (such as adding and updating items from Omnify) connect to the Omnify database directly.
Users are not required to create views and database DSN mappings.
|
|
|
Uploading BOMs to Omnify will populate the database directly. All file transfers have been eliminated.
When uploading a BOM, you will be able to specify a "Dataset" that will house the BOM data.
Datasets will be available until you delete them in the Omnify BOM Importer.

|
The compare engine can now compare OmniBOM, Excel, CSV, Text and Access files directly.
Files do not need to be converted to OmniBOM files first.
Compare results can be saved as a single file that includes the original file data.
