This section describes some of the enhancements made in Service Pack 2 of Empower 5.0.
The Data Importer now allows you to import Changes/ECOs. When importing Changes/ECOs you can assign General information, Attributes and Documents as well as assign affected items and revisions.
The Data Importer now allows you to import Quality/CAPA items. When importing Quality/CAPA items you can assign General information, Attributes and Documents as well as assign affected items and revisions.
New, simplified, setup of data importing/updating routines are now available in the Omnify Toolkit. These routines provide data updates from 3rd party applications to be set up through simple XML guide files and can read data from various sources (Excel, Text, OmniBOM, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
Logout links are now easily accessible from most forms in Desktop.
You can now provide custom links directly to the Omnify Server Home Page to simplify navigation and direct users to specific forms and sections within all applications.
OmniBOM and CADKit now support the use of LDAP for user authentication.
You can now enable additional verification for affected items that appear on multiple Changes/ECOs. Verification steps can be added when users are adding affected items. Users can also enable a "Stacked ECO" indicator (User Preferences) on the Affected Items list to highlight items that appear on multiple, active Changes/ECOs.
You can now enable custom fields to be displayed on the Affected Items page of the Change/ECO form. Custom fields can display general and attribute information about each affected item.
