Overview |
Business Units provide you with a way to identify users and items with a specific product group, organization unit, etc. for searching or classification purposes.
Users can be assigned to only one Business Unit; however, you can apply multiple Business Units to an item.
|
|
Business Units can be assigned to Users, Items, Changes/ECOs, Projects, and CAPA objects.
When creating or modifying a user (in the Administrator), you can assign a business unit to the user from the User Information dialog box.
When creating or modifying an Item, Change, Project, and/or CAPA object (in Desktop), you can assign a business unit to the item on the General Information page of the form.
Business Units can be used as a parameter/condition when defining workflow mappings.
