Overview |
Training Objects can represent training or test processes that require users (or other resources) be updated either on a one-time or continual basis.
When defining a training object, you can specify the frequency to be:
One Time |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test only once |
Recurring |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test on a recurring basis |
Recurring - Rev Change |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test each time an associated item changes it's revision |
When defining the frequency as "Recurring", you can also specify how often (number of days) the event must be applied.
Training objects can be associated with:
• Items |
• Changes/ECOs |
• Quality Items (CAPA) |
• Projects |
• Service Objects |

Training items can contain an unlimited number of revisions.
General information, users, and documents are stored on a per revision basis.
Each revision of the training item can contain different users.
Training item revisions can be created interactively (General page) or can be created automatically by associated items on Recurring - Rev Change training items.
To change the revision of a training item, type a new revision label on the Revision field (General page).
The Users list will automatically group users based on the revision of the training item they were assigned.
You can view the current, selected, and all revisions of the training item by changing the Revision filter on the Users list.
Training revision can be created automatically by associated items for Recurring - Rev Change items.
Refer to the Recurring - Rev Change section for more information on automatic training revisions.
The Training form contains a Rev drop list in the Banner.
Changing the Revision from the drop list will display the data from that revision on the data pages.

|
When defining a training object, you can specify the frequency to be: One Time, Recurring, or Recurring - Rev Change.
When you define a training item to be of type: Recurring - Rev Change, the Associations page will allow you to define Rev Change items.
Recurring - Rev Change training items will track all associated Rev Change items.
When the revision of any of the Rev Change items occur (interactively or via Change/ECO),
the system will automatically rev the training item and reset all users to a "Not Started" status.
To associate a Rev Change item, click the Associations page.
Please note that the Associations page will contain two lists: Revision Change Items and Associated Objects.
To add a Rev Change item, click the Add button on the Revision Change Items toolbar.
This will invoke the Object Search form, which will allow you to search for the correct item to associate.
To associate the item, click the item hyperlink.
Once the item is associated, the Rev Change list will display the status as "Not Started".
As users sign off on the training item, the Rev Change list will update the status.
When all users have completed the training, the Rev Change list status will indicate that all users have completed the training.
If any of the Rev Change items has a revision change, the training item will be "revved" and the user statuses will be cleared automatically.
The History page will indicate a recent rev change.
