Description |

|
The Description field is an open text field.
You can type in any characters and use carriage returns in this field.
|
|
Training items can be created and classified to represent any type of training such classroom-style training, read and understand training, recurring auditing events, formal off-site training, etc.
Training types can determine required fields, Training Name/Number format, and workflows.
Training Types are defined in the Administrator.
|
|
The Priority setting is a way that you can use to alert users to the importance of a specific Training event.
|
|
The Trainer field identifies an Omnify user who is responsible for conducting the training.
The Trainer will have additional capabilities on the Training form, such as signing off on behalf of the training Users.
You can either type the Omnify user name or using the browse button to find the desired Omnify user.
This will invoke the Object Browser and allow you to search/find an Omnify user.
|
|
When defining a training object, you can specify the frequency to be:
One Time |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test only once |
Recurring |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test on a recurring basis |
Recurring - Rev Change |
Users/resource need to complete the training/test each time an associated item changes it's revision |
When defining the frequency as "Recurring", you can also specify how often (number of days) the event must be applied.
When you define a training item to be of type: Recurring - Rev Change, the Associations page will allow you to define Rev Change items.
Recurring - Rev Change training items will track all associated Rev Change items.
When the revision of any of the Rev Change item occurs (interactively or via Change/ECO),
the system will automatically rev the training item and reset all users to a "Not Started" status.
|
|
The Rev field will display the revision of the item that you are currently viewing.
The Banner contains a drop list that displays the current and all prior revisions.
Changing the selection in this list will automatically update the data pages with the data from that revision.
You can edit the revision field directly by typing a new revision
You can also use the Get Next Revision button to retrieve the next logical revision label.
|
|
The Status field allows you to identify the current state of the Training item.
Status options are defined in the Omnify Administrator.
When defining the status, you can set a Closed/Completed option.
When assigning Users to Training items, you can use User Groups, Business Units, or User Attributes.
When users are added (or modified) by the Administrator, the system will read the assigned User Groups, Business Units, and User Attributes and then search the system to find any training items assigned to that Group.
Users will automatically be added to the Training items when a matching Group, Business Unit, or Attribute is assigned.
Assigning a status to a training item that is defined to be Closed/Completed, will instruct the system to ignore such training items when users are automatically being added to training items.
